By allowing the body to move organically through time and space, I am able to embrace the visceral state of reaction. The space with which I engage is heavily considered, as the reaction occurs within the emotional system in response to the environment. Particularly, it is the liminal space I desire. This is the space between here and there, between you and I, a portal inward. The intent is to document the sensuous act of movement, as I interact with the self in a solitary performance. The end result is two fold, it becomes an attempt to intimately connect the personal inner world to the outside world and to make visible the quiet desire to take up space, to be seen, to belong.
